Pressure-Sensitive Heat-Shrinkable Tape

Product Introduction

This innovative anti-corrosion material combines high-performance butyl rubber-modified pressure-sensitive adhesive with radiation-crosslinked polyethylene backing. It features strong interfacial bonding, high mechanical stability, excellent resistance to water vapor and oxygen penetration, and requires no primer application. The product offers easy repair methods, low energy consumption during installation, rapid deployment, and portable operation.

With low surface preparation requirements, it supports diverse installation methods—either heat-shrink or cold-wrap application. Available in two types: anti-corrosion (direct use) and protective (used with viscoelastic anti-corrosion tape). The modified pressure-sensitive adhesive provides cold adhesion properties, along with superior resistance to cathodic disbondment and chemical corrosion, ensuring long-term pipeline protection.

Particularly effective for field applications lacking mechanized sandblasting equipment, this tape delivers high reliability for both new pipeline joint protection and in-service pipeline repairs.

Key Features:

Repairs joint coatings on oil/gas pipelines or serves as primary joint protection

Short preparation—only requires surface moisture removal with no preheating

Primer-free application—simple cleaning with wire brush or sandpaper suffices

High-viscosity butyl rubber softens under shrinkage without melting, preventing air bubbles. Exhibits exceptional mechanical stability, moisture/oxygen barrier properties, and extended service life

Self-healing capability—automatically repairs damages under 5mm diameter within one week

Applications:

Suitable pipe diameters: DN50-DN2000

Operating temperature: -20°C to 50°C

Max. width: <1000mm
