Heat-Shrinkable Waterproof Cap

This specialized product, composed of radiation-crosslinked polyethylene and specialized hot-melt adhesive, is designed for application at both ends of insulated steel pipes to connect the outer jacket with the inner steel pipe. In insulated steel pipelines using rigid polyurethane foam for anti-corrosion and insulation, water should not penetrate the insulation layer or contact the pipe surface under normal conditions. However, during actual production, various factors can compromise foam performance, leading to poor adhesion and cavity formation. These defects allow water ingress, potentially causing corrosion. The waterproof end cap prevents this by sealing pipe ends effectively.

Its key advantage lies in remaining unaffected by insulation layer shrinkage while forming a secure bond with both the protective jacket and anti-corrosion coating, ensuring reliable sealing, waterproofing, and corrosion protection.
